Subject Number 046-1219 Temporary Suspension of Dr. Sareth Pinnamaneni

Subject Numbers Regarding Health Provider Authorizations

Authorization No. 194215-0W

October 22, 2019

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(4), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised her authority to temporarily suspend Dr. Sareth Pinnameneni’s authorization to treat injured workers within the New York State workers’ compensation system effective October 21, 2019. Dr. Pinnamaneni's last known business addresses are:

10 Yukon Court
Melville, New York 11747

All Island Medical Association
1099 Smithtown Avenue
Bohemia, New York 11716, and

All Island Medical Association
1500 Ocean Avenue, Suite C
Bohemia, New York 11716-1924

The Chair’s designee’s investigation has revealed that the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct (BPMC) has issued Order # 19-255, wherein Dr. Pinnamaneni agreed not to contest the allegations, in full satisfaction of the charges against him, including that he repeatedly ignored Medical Records Demand Letters sent to him by the New York State Department of Health Office of Professional Medical Conduct. This resulted in a Censure and Reprimand, and a $5,000.00 fine.

Therefore, the Chair believes that Dr. Pinnamaneni may be guilty of misconduct as described in Education Law §6530(28), and that such misconduct would detrimentally affect the quality of care provided to injured workers.

Dr. Pinnamaneni is prohibited from rendering treatment and care to injured workers and from conducting reviews of records regarding variance requests pursuant to 12 NYCRR § 324.3(b)(2)(ii)(a) while his authorization is temporarily suspended. Reports submitted by Dr. Pinnamaneni for services rendered prior to October 21, 2019 are valid but are invalid for any services rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Pinnamaneni for services rendered prior to October 21, 2019, should not be denied due to the suspension of his authorization.

This suspension remains in effect until further notice. Any questions regarding the authorized lists should be referred to the Medical Director’s Office at 1 (800) 781-2362.
